Redefining the Keyboard

The ACUCOBOL-GT keyboard interface may be modified via two variables in the runtime configuration file:

The KEYBOARD variable defines global keyboard attributes.

The KEYSTROKE variable defines the interpretation of a particular key or key combination.

These two variables enable you to tailor the keyboard interface to your application. They are discussed in detail in The KEYBOARD Variable section and The KEYSTROKE Variable section, after a brief description of what happens when the terminal user presses a key.
