Some behaviors of the terminal can be controlled by entries in the runtime configuration file. The default name of this file, like that of the terminal database file, varies according to the host operating system:
| System | Runtime Configuration File |
| MS-DOS | \etc\cblconfi |
| Windows | \etc\cblconfi |
| OS/2 | \etc\cblconfi |
| UNIX | /etc/cblconfig |
| MPE/iX | /etc/cblconfig |
| VMS | SYS$LIBRARY:A_CONFIG.DAT |
This "Setting Up Your Terminals" chapter discusses entries in the terminal database file and the runtime configuration file which are important to the Terminal Manager.
