This variable is designed for Windows 95/98 and DOS-based networks. It gives you some control over situations where a user must wait for access to a shared file. The runtime will try repeatedly to acquire the file lock, up to 400 times by default. Set this variable to the number of attempts you would like the runtime to make to acquire the file lock.
