When this variable is set to "1" (on, true, yes) all floating windows displayed on character-based hosts are drawn with a border (box). If this variable is set to "0" (off, false, no), floating windows are drawn with a border only when the BOXED phrase appears in the statement that creates the window. This variable has an effect only on character-based host systems. The default value is "0" (off, false, no).
